I CAN’T BELIEVE IT, I was literally floored. I really thought there was no chance of him heading home last night. Then there’s the manner of how Ryan told him… so classless. It still is setting in, and I really thought he had a chance at the final 2, but I guess America is jacked up because they have Elliot, a man who could use an extreme makeover (really, between how he came on the show looking like “Oh Brother where art Thou?” and now he’s leaving lines out and somehow still in the running —ARE YOU SERIOUS?), and Taylor, who I’d go see play at the House of Blues (He’s soulful and an amazing artist, but he’s not Idol caliber), and then Katherine, who really, for the talent she has, has not performed up to her abilities. I see Katharine getting the boy vote and other 3 splitting up the 13-year old and other vote, but Chris? I guess the whole “Walk The Line” Senate Debate must have played more into how America thinks of this guy than I thought. Anyway, I’m having a hard time getting over it because he was clearly the one who was going to give the show a new face and sell a ton more CD’s than the recent idol winners have (I guess he still will – possibly with Fuel). It is now less of a contest for Katherine, it makes me less interested to watch from here on out. My favorite now is Taylor, especially if it’s not based on talent anymore. But this is what makes America great, the ability to choose your idol (for better or worse), but I haven’t actually called in, so it was probably my vote Chris lost by.
