I thought he answered pretty well… how about you?
I am just finding out about this Huckabee guy and his conservative values mixed with his more moderate to liberal views on social or civil justice issues make him an interesting candidate to watch. I don’t agree with him on everything (such as border issues), so don’t slam me and label me a Huckabee man, Alex. But I do think he’s interesting and worth looking at how he stands on the issues, I’ve heard he’s against tax cuts for the rich and that’s enough to pique my interest.
I’m not surprised you would like him. If he’s the nominee, I’ll vote for him over Hitlery or Rudy anytime. However, this guy is sleezy. The only reason he has a surge right now is because he plays the “religion Card.” I mean c’mon, how can you run ads that say, “Huckabee, Christian Leader,” and expect us “smart” conservatives to not see that as a shot at Mitt Romney? But who cares, Mitt Romney is now endorsed by National Review, so I’m not worried.
Let me just clarify though, I still believe Romney’s Mormonism is a cult, but he stands far more aligned with my values–that happen to be Christian–than does Huckabee and Guliani.
One more thing about Huckabee. This guy wants to give illegal…errr…”undocumented” (I forgot I was in a “Emerging” site) immigrants free tution. As a current college student, I’m offended that someone who is not here legally would receive financial help over a citizen like me. To me, the logic of this proposal lacks intelligence.
How did it come to this–that we would seek to provide for non-citizens over our nation’s citizens? It’s a shame.
Last comment…I promise…sort of…:
Below is a link that criticizes Huckabee. I don’t agree with the prof on all his positions (especially on the death penalty), but the majority is dead on on Huck.
Sorry: here is the link:

i’m all for ron paul right now.
he said something interesting the other day about religious candidates. he said when fascism comes it will come wrapped in an american flag and carrying a cross. i agree with that statement. i am cautious about the religious runners. i think it would be a big mistake to vote for mitt just because he has ‘good morals’ when clearly his faith is all based on a hallucination.
so far i’m voting for RON PAUL
A vote for a guy who wants to return to a foreign policy from the 1920′s. Hmmm.
